Valneva is a speciality vaccine company focused on the development and commercialization of prophylactic vaccines for infectious diseases with significant unmet medical need. Valneva has leveraged its expertise and capabilities both to successfully commercialize two vaccines and to rapidly advance a broad range of vaccine candidates into and through the clinic, including candidates against Lyme diseases, the chikungunya virus, and COVID-19.

Your tasks

  • Act as relationship owner for key stakeholders in the European Commission and Member States (e.g. reporting, supply). Work with VLA’s Program Director and other senior staff to prepare content ahead of key governance meetings
  • Responsible for setting-up, monitoring, and managing assigned program / project timelines and activities with a primary focus on milestone achievements. Support each department with their COVID strategy and tracking (e.g. HR, Finance)
  • Develop full scale integrated plans for program, together with Valneva’s project managers
  • Aligns CMC teams across sites (Livingston, Solva, Vienna) to ensure (a) meeting timelines towards regulatory approval and (b) commercial manufacturing (including testing and release) meets overall supply goals
  • Moderate commercial, market access, and government affairs that are required for Valneva’s COVID-19 vaccine
  • Lead and moderate together with Program Director virtual program and project teams across sales. Deputise for Program Director where appropriate and required
  • Support Valneva’s management board and program directors on other strategic activities, as required

Your qualifications

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in project management, management consulting, corporate development, or another related field
  • Experience in biotech and pharmaceutical production environment
  • PM certification / qualification is appreciated
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a “peer” with functional leaders and EC/MS representatives
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to promote and foster a strong team culture and open and transparent communication
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent English, additional strong German and French skills preferred
