Our customer, Boehringer Ingelheim, is currently seeking for an experienced Medical Affairs Manager (m/f/d) who will contribute to the success of BI’s Regional Center Vienna (RCV) in the role of an Early Pipeline Medical Affairs Manager (m/f/d) across the different human pharma therapeutic areas as well as across the different RCV regions.

Your tasks

• Build and maintain scientific and medical expertise for BI’s early product pipeline assets
• Provide timely systematic medical input to corporate pipeline asset development plans and scientific platforms
• Lead the mapping of existing regional/local patient journeys, treatment guidelines and identify the gaps in patient diagnostics and disease management treatments
• Early identification of key medical experts and opinion leaders as well as close collaboration with Regional Patient Advocacy Relations Manager to build valuable networks
• Seek input on local/regional product data needs by working closely together with local MD’s, external experts or key patient advocacy representative

Your qualifications

• University degree (preferably M.D.) or Master’s degree (Biology, Pharmacy) and at least three years relevant experience in pharmaceutical industry
• Solid background in Medical Affairs, Drug Development strategies, PV, GxP and Legal Compliance
• Profound understanding of market access as well as drug approval processes and complexity/difference within CEE countries
• Project management experience and superior organisational, analytical decision-making skills
• Strong communicator with strategic capabilities and a sound medical and scientific leadership to drive high-priority projects with matrix teams and external stakeholders
• Business proficiency in English
