Are you passionate about advancing pharmaceutical innovation and making an impact on patients' lives? Our client – a financially stable, privately held pharmaceutical company with a start-up spirit – is looking for a hands-on and versatile R&D Project Manager (f/m/d). With a flat hierarchy and a collaborative culture, the company focuses on niche indications and develops both generics and innovative therapies, including biotech-enhanced drug-device combinations. In this role, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end development projects – from early-stage concepts through preclinical and clinical phases to regulatory submission.

Your tasks

  • Lead complex development projects end-to-end 
  • Define and execute regulatory, preclinical, and clinical strategies (EU & US focus)
  • Coordinate external manufacturers, CROs, consultants, and suppliers across Europe
  • Organize workshops, moderate expert discussions, and develop market-entry strategies
  • Create and manage documentation (meeting minutes, regulatory files, scientific data)
  • Bridge scientific, operational, and strategic aspects of product development
  • Serve as the central point of contact between internal stakeholders and external collaborators
  • Report to senior leadership and align with the company’s strategic goals

Your qualifications

  • Degree in life sciences (Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry – cross-disciplinary collaboration experience is a plus
  • Experience across drug development phases: preclinical, clinical, registration
  • Ability to read and apply guidelines with scientific rigor and business acumen
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in cross-functional and multicultural environments
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken); German is not required
  • Proficient with MS Project, SharePoint, and Office365
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and self-driven personality with a strategic mindset
