“Beyond AI – What Really Matters for Successful Transformations” was the topic of today’s well-attended E&P Business Breakfast, featuring our guest speaker from Hamburg, Yukiko Elisabeth Kobayashi.

The focus was on why successful transformation goes far beyond new tools and technologies. Especially in the age of AI and technological disruption, change is determined above all on an interpersonal level: through leadership, trust, a willingness to learn, and the ability to truly engage people.

Yukiko Elisabeth Kobayashi shared practical insights drawn from her many years of experience in global transformation processes and highlighted the factors that are particularly relevant. These include jointly developed visions of the future, psychological safety as the foundation for innovation, self-reflective leadership, and relational skills as a genuine competitive advantage in an increasingly digitized workplace.

Particularly thought-provoking was the idea of viewing mistakes not as failures but as prototypes for learning, and transformation not as a one-time project but as an ongoing process whose goal is constantly evolving.
